Information
The University of Ghent, Belgium and different institutions in Europe, Latin-America,
Africa
and Asia have decided to cooperate for the development and evaluation of new tools in
modern
education.
The purpose of this CD-ROM is to test and evaluate the possibility of using modern
information
technology and multimedia tools in the preparation of aquaculture course material.
Because of
the expertise of one of the partners in this project the topic "Production and use of
live food
for aquaculture" has been chosen for this demo.
This CD-ROM has been developed by the Laboratory of Aquaculture & Artemia
Reference Center (Patrick Sorgeloos, Barbara Ooghe, Gilbert Van Stappen and Jef Peeters) and the
Academic
Computing Center (Geert De Soete, Michel Raes and Davy de Sloover) of the University
of Ghent
with the assistance of Vu Do Quynh (Shrimp and Artemia R&D Center, Can Tho University,
Vietnam).
Further testing and evaluation will be performed by aquaculture institutions in
Ecuador, Chili,
South-Africa, Zambia, Kenya, China, Vietnam, Oekraine, Norway and the Netherlands.
This project has been funded by the Flemish government.
